Chroma - Gams Media | High Quality Kitzbühel Prints

A special print coating on an aluminium sheet. Chroma prints are the most artistic option available from Gams Media, with intense colours that pop out of the image. From some angles or in darker environments they can appear a little dark, but in the right conditions the colours and contrasts explode from the images like no other print option.

Chroma prints are supplied ready to hang, and are available up to 150 x 100cm, image and resolution permitting.

Please note: Despite the most modern printing technology, chroma prints may have small impefections and unevenness in the surface due to the nature of the material.

Chroma prints are about 1.3 mm thick, with 10 mm aluminium hanging rails attached to the back. In comparison to most other print types, the prints are very light weight.

Surface

Chroma prints are available with two different surface finishes. Both look best in well-lit environments, with the brushed finish having the strongest effect when viewed more straight on.

Hanging

Aluminium Hanging Rails

Chroma prints are supplied with aluminium rails attached to the back for easy mounting. Prints with a vertical height of up to 50 cm have 2 horizontal rails, while prints with a height of more than 50 cm have rails all the way round. The hanging rails are 10 mm thick, so prints without frames sit 1 cm away from the wall.

Pictures in frames are also supplied ready to hang. Either with hanging rails or other hanging fixtures. Pictures with frames sit flush against the wall.

Frame Options

Mounting an chroma print in a frame can enhance its effect and add the finishing touch. There are 3 different frame types available for chroma prints, with multiple colour/material options.

Floater Frame

This elegant frame with various customisation options has a 7 mm gap around the print so that it looks as if the print is floating.

Frame Thickness

For Chroma prints, all floater frames have a thicknesses of 15 mm. The frame is 29 mm deep.

The frames are available with 5 different types of wood veneer.

Gallery Frame

A gallery frame is a more traditional type of frame. The picture extends to the inside edge of the frame and is set back slightly from the front edge.
